The 45th International Skilex Congress 2018 will take place in the Giant mountains in the ski resort of Pec pod Sněžkou. Pec pod Sněžkou is a small town at the base of the highest Czech mountain Sněžka which is accessible by a two-sectional cable car system from the town. Ski resort of Pec pod Sněžkou is one of the most visited mountain resorts in the Czech Republic.

It is located two hours of driving from Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. Pec pod Sněžkou provides a modern chairlift and 10 surface ski lifts with the transport capacity of 9,620 persons per hour, jagged freestyle park, the longest and best-lighted slope for evening skiing, 900 metres long bobsleigh track, a snow tubing ice channel and a number of cross-country skiing routes. It is now included in the Ski Resort Černá hora - Pec, which forms the largest Czech ski resort with 44 km of ski slopes. 

Sněžka (Śnieżka in Polish, Schneekoppe in German) is a mountain on the border between the Czech Republic and Poland. At 1,603 metres (5,259 ft), its summit is the highest point in the Czech Republic, in Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in the Giant Mountains and in the entire Sudetes Mountain Range.
